Trend Report: BANDANARAMA

I’ve recently been inspired to try out this look after seeing it over the course of the last year and most especially after Coachella. This trend is definitely Western inspired and a throwback from the last century (bandanas gained popularity in the 70’s through the 90’s) I remember the time when I owned a drawer full of them and subsequently when I threw that drawer out. But as they say, what goes around comes back around, and this is truest in fashion.

There is just something about the bandana that I had to try again. However, this time around, we’re not rocking them on our heads (although who’s to say you shouldn’t), but more as a sophisticated neck accessory (or arm accessory). In the summer months, a bandana makes a great accessory to an otherwise simplistic t-shirt and jeans combo. I chose to wear a black skirt, white perforated top, fringe shoes and mirrored frames to mix it up. So go ahead, take a nod from the mid-west and relive your childhood bandana wearing days.
